Sofia is originally from Moscow , Russia. She grew up attending dual education, Russian and British and surrounded by creativity. Her mother was a music teacher, her father a gifted architect, and her uncle one of Eastern Europe’s most famous actors.
Her uncle loved to bring Sofia along to meet many legendary performers that worked with him.
Her musical journey began at the age of six, when she learned to play the piano. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a ballerina and loved to ice skate and watch fairy tales with happy endings.....

At the age of fifteen, Sofia began writing and singing music to famous Russian poetry.  When her mother realized her talent for voice, she brought her to singing school to develop her gift. Her opera debut was in the role of Octavian in Richard Strauss' Der Rosesenkavalier. This was later followed by a variety of recitals in Russia, France, Italy, Puerto Rico and the United States. She spent two years at Gnesin Music College in Moscow for piano performance and completed her BA in music education at NewYork University.

Sofia has always been inspired by music and wanted to share her musical journey with others. In an effort to make a difference, Sofia founded Rose Bapier Productions in 2005, an organization dedicated to using chamber music with vocals as her vehicle to connect to people. She donated proceeds to different causes, such as the Katrina Babies, “Fostering Dialogue” at the United Nations, and various post-conflict dialogue initiatives. Sofia has always seen a unique connection between the beauty of music and people's daily lives and is passionate to inspire others to live their dreams!!!
Sofia says, “It is my deepest wish to reach into the people's hearts with joyful tunes so that together we can create magic!”

Before beginning her entrepreneurial career, she was a Russian interpreter for patients that hoped to receive treatment in the U.S. for cancer. This, coupled with the loss of several loved ones to this terrible disease, led her to her other passion - founding a biotechnology company, which provides innovative research services in the life sciences, with particular attention to cancer. Her organization continues today to help change the way medicines are made.

Now, " Simple ..Intimate ".. with the release of her first album, Rose, she has realized her dream. This moment represents the launch of Sofia as a singer to the world !!!

Her first Album has arrived after a long journey of perseverance and visualizing herself on a big stage. Join Sofia as she launches her career on December 16, 2009 at an exclusive and special Gala.
